So the GW is at some party in a G club and I'm home alone for the frst time after... It actually did not feel as bad as I expected. Once I realized that there is nothing I can do to keep us together I started feeling a lot better. Also reading here about how 'they' often act in a teen kind of way in the beginning helps a lot. Just have to wait until she becomes 'normal' again to be able to have a serious discussion with her Im a bit afraid that Im really just supressing my feelings and that they will come back with more strength later...

Cherish your alone time with the kids.
Do something tonight you have always wanted to do but never have, go for extra silly. No rules. Live for the laughter your children bring to you. Don;t worry about what she is doing tonight. Don't even think about her. Tonight is a night for YOU and your KIDS!
Yeah, you might be supressing your feelings. Remember how the word Rollercoaster is used frequently?

Build a fort.
Get every chair and every blanket in the house and build an amazing fort that you and the kids can crawl through.
Make it a symbol that you WILL be strong... forever... no matter what.

Yeah, you might be supressing your feelings. Remember how the word Rollercoaster is used frequently? I know what you mean! Hoping it wont turn really bad again! She never came home last night, wont say when she will be home, and I almost don't care! Except the children will miss her. Promised she would be here in the morning... I hope they don't get too disappointed!

dont get their hopes up. Promises mean much different things to "us" and "them."
